Handmade pyrography
Every line is drawn with a burning pen. Not laser-cut, not printed — 100% handmade.
Prepared cowhide
Cowhide prepared for pyrography — vegetable-tanned, not chrome. Chrome-tanned leather will not take the burn.
Your design
Portraits, landscapes, verse, family names, Uruguayan scenes — tell us what you imagine.
Self-taught since 2003
More than twenty years at the workbench in Montevideo, one unique piece at a time.
Recent work
Leather covers, agendas, carriers, and scrolls — commissions, not a shop inventory.

Scripture & book covers
Custom covers and carriers for sacred books — one category among several.

How a commission works
01
Tell the story
Choose a type, send references, and describe size, deadline, and budget.
02
Mockup
We send a proposal and mockup. Nothing is burned until you approve it.
03
50% deposit
After mockup approval, we send a Stripe invoice or Payment Link in USD for 50%. On more than one piece, that is 50% of the discounted total. Burning starts when the deposit is paid.
04
Make, then balance
Juan Pedro makes the piece in Montevideo. Balance is due before it ships FedEx to the United States.
From the workbench to your hands
“I love my leather covers! When my parents gave them to me for my birthday I cried because they meant so much to me… The quality of each cover is fantastic both in design and durability. Thank you so much for your work!”
“We ordered scripture covers for our son, Isaac, from brother López. He was very easy to work with and did a spectacular job on the covers! Our son loves them. The attention to detail is amazing and the artwork is beautiful. We would highly recommend brother López.”
