Handmade pyrography scripture covers
Cowhide covers and carriers for sacred books, burned freehand in Montevideo — not laser-engraved, not stamped stock.
Juan Pedro López makes custom scripture and sacred book covers the same way he makes leather scrolls and journals: a burning pen, cowhide prepared for pyrography, and a drawing that belongs to one person. Names, temples, flags, portraits, and verse can sit on the same cover if the design holds together.
A factory “engraved Bible cover” is usually tooled, stamped, or cut by a laser. A Fire Drawn cover is freehand pyrography — every line burned in with a pen, one at a time. Same gift intent; different craft and look.
Send the book’s height, width, and spine thickness (inches or centimetres), or the exact edition. A photo next to a ruler is enough to start; we confirm measurements on the mockup before anything is burned.
